Students will start first with the basic anatomy and physiology for 4 months, and then ICD-10-CM/PCS then the CPT coding. Students who have taken their medical anatomy such BSN, Foreign Medical Grad and pre-med degree doesn't need to take our anatomy and physiology, but of course it your choice. AAPC Professional Medical Coding Curriculum For CPC Certification
The AAPC's Professional Medical Coding Curriculum is developed to present the latest information related to medical or insurance reimbursement. You will learn the theory of coding, gain an understanding of the coding fundamentals and then incorporate this learning by using the lab book to work coding reports. The CPC certification exam is included and will be administered the last class day.
This is a difficult course which requires a significant amount of time dedicated to study outside the class setting. It is necessary that you understand the rigor of this course. Your past knowledge of medical terminology, and Anatomy & Physiology is required to properly apply Billing and Coding information. Note: Includes membership to AAPC, CPC exam fee, and lab books.
